The School of Design at Northumbria University, the TU/e Faculty of Industrial Design and Philips Design BV are delighted to invite you to DeSForM 3, a conference on Design & Semantics of Form & Movement which will be held in the School of Design's iconic new building at Northumbria University's City Campus East, in the heart of Newcastle upon Tyne.

Aims and Scope

The scope of this conference is the design of products, systems and services. Our focus is on the meanings of products and how designers communicate information, functions and ideas to enable these to be perceived and understood by people in their everyday lives.

We have 4 keynote speakers across the two days and 22 break-out sessions. In the break-out sessions researchers from around the world, including the USA, Australia and Indonesia, will be presenting the latest research in this exciting field of design. Our keynote speakers are:
